My father, being a street rodder and all around cool guy that he is, sent me a link to www.madfabricators.com last night. Alot of people probably wonder why my truck is the way it is, why it doesn't have a shiny paintjob, and what the iron crosses, and strange red lines are on the side of it. Well, I found this video on mad fabricators, and instantly had to order a copy for myself, while most of you are constantly thinking of laying your rockers on the ground, what billet wheels will fit your trucks "theme", or how to turbo your 4-cylinder, this is the type of stuff that runs through my head. Just thought I'd share it with you. Enjoy!

Why not get a streetrod instead of a minitruck if minitruckin isnt your thing?
Videos dont work for me BTW

You of all people know I can't afford to build a streetrod, or have the technical engine know-how to tinker with a V8 right now. I wasn't saying minitrucking isn't my thing, I love my truck, and there isn't a truck on here that I don't like. I still dream of throwing sparks behind the S-10, and am constantly checking my savings and certain things on www.suicidedoors.com to see if they match up.
I posted this video so that some of the people that question why my truck isn't shiny, or is sitting on old 15" wheels, can see some of the stuff that's been going through my head as I've done the stuff that I've done to my truck.
And on top of that, the video ROXORS!!!!!!!1111

I thought you were trying to justify what you are doing to your truck and putting down minitruckin, it confused me.

I remember going to auto shows w/ my dad back in the mid to late 60's and early 70's when he had his custom dune buggy. I loved seeing all the street rods back then. The auto shows of today are just not the same. Street rods are still my favorites.

I haven't been to any shows in the area that I thought were impressive, but I have yet to go to ECN, or "The Big Show". I did drive down to Charlotte Motor Speedway a couple years ago for a Goodguy's street rod show, and with Goodguy's being the big name they are, I got a hotel room expecting to stay the weekend. I got there Friday afternoon and went to the show for a couple hours, then went back Saturday around 9:00am, and was on the road heading home by 1:00pm, not impressed. The cars were great, and I got plenty of pictures, but the show size didn't impress me, I was expecting to spend all weekend without seeing any of the cars more than a couple times. I guess I'm just spoiled though, a car show with a couple hundred cars just doesn't sound like much to me. I grew up 30 minutes from St. Paul Minnesota, home of "Back to the 50's", one of, if not the largest pre-1964 car shows in the country. Last year the MN state fairgrounds packed in more than 10,000 street rods between Friday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon, and that's cars, not people.
