I've been trying to decide on what to put in the truck for a game console an xbox, PS2, WII, 360 or PS3, the PS2 still seems to be popular and a guy is selling one for 100 bucks but im not sure how it will look? what do you think? other than that i was thinking of mounting my slim PS2 or maybe holding out and getting a Wii or something:considering:

360 would be good, but if you can get a deal on that ps2... go for it

I had a newer smaller ps2 inside my glovebox. I no like the one on the outside of the box. No look good.

I agree. Having game consoles in your vehicle so you can play games on your tiny little monitors is kinda lame IMO. But, if you are going to do it, hide the console somewhere. That glove box just looks like the guy wanted the console in his truck but couldn't find room for it so he cut an opening in the door, shoved the console in as far as it would fit and left it.

i think with the wii you have to have sensors and stuff and it probably wouldnt work so well swinging the controllers around in your truck.

i agree with Big Perm and Brian. i think you should get wireless controllers though; no wires running around cluttering things up.

Well i took everyones advice and put the PS2 Slim in the glove box, not that custom but it fits pretty good, and you can't see it when you close it, sucks the slim is the a top loader but its a good start..
If i can find another Wii it will be next since most of the games will let use the joystick to play but it would be interesting or funny to try and play it with the regular wireless controller :grinning:

ITs not too bad. You could run the wires for the controllers from under the center of the dash and in to the glove box from behind. I would get a some aluminum and cut out a little face that would fill in all extra space

It's a top load unit. Adding a trim piece would only make it harder to get to the disc to change it.
When I put mine in the glovebox I bought the rf transmitting wireless remotes so you can leave the glove box closed and still play. Worked just fine! With infrared controllers the receiver has to be in sight of the controllers but not with rf. Just an option to look into.

one problem is it will only close with the controllers disconnected right now, so i was thinking i could cut the back some more and push it back far enough for the wireless plugs to clear, but thats going to make it really hard to change the disc. I wonder how it would look if i cut the top of the glove box out some to make some room..:considering:
