influx of spam

don't know too much about bulletin boards, but i've seen places that have measures to filter out people from registering and sp>amming. i deleted two threads and banned three people just a minute ago. maybe we need to keep some sort of update to curb these people from signing on.

yea its starting to pick up, not sure why but i just installed one spam filter today to see if it helps. Im testing another one that looks good but i cant get it to work on the test board

Just want to let everyone know that i am in the process of cleaning up the data base, blocking and deleting spam users, Im looking for 0 post one day users but when i prune the data base there is a chance it could get someone with a few post. Normally i wouldn't mess with this but we have 866 new users in cue and alot of them are spam and need to be deleted

alright i think i have cleaned up the spam users, and over the last few days i have been checking and it looks like were getting 10 spam users a day. I am blocking ip address and emails to see if i can get it down to a minimum but these azz holes seem to be hitting everyone, some with a 100 a day
