i was putting some wires for neons running thru the dash for neons and something sparked near the cigarette lighter and lost my radio and the dome light now i replaced/checked all the fuses then checked the wires to make sure there was no loose wires and all good. i was thinking it was an anti theft device thing but its not the stock radio.. help please

Have you tested to see if there is any power going through the fuses? Do you know what actually sparked, and if it was actually the cigarette lighter does it still work? :what:

Also, if you have a voltmeter or test light, check your ignition and main power wires and see if they get any power with the car off/on. Probably just shorted something out, and maybe just a bad replacement fuse too. Seen that before where it looks fine, but changing the fuse out with another fixes it.

yea the lighter works ill change the fuze out and see what happens i have a fuze tester and the light came on for all of them. the dome lights work and when i open the door the cap comes on like it should but ill try those things im not sure what sparked cause my hand was in the dash and really couldnt see where i was going but i was in the area of the lighter and it didnt work when it sparked.

If the dome light and lighter work then you fixed the fuse problem in the fuse box. There are also fuses on the backs of aftermarket radios. You might want to check that out as well. That should take care of you if not darn you get to buy a newer radio.
