Not related to the chop, but AJ, the Owner of The Rim Shop in Houston, TX bagged one on 22's. Keep in mind that these are bags, not cylinders. The car doesnt lay, but damn if it doesnt look good.

It was suggested that i should chop the top. Again, this is the first time ive ever done that mod, so there are flaws. It is a very subtle chop.

My guess is it is sound dampening material so he doesnt have to hear it as much.

Yes that's right $50 for a photo chop. Here is your mission should you choose to accept it. I have a Veilside MR2 Spyder and I need some help with a few mods I'm considering.

1. Im looking for a new color.
- I have 3 colors listed below but if you wanna play around with something else feel free. I would prefer a color that I can obtain a color code for.

2. Im considering a new front bumper.
- The bumper is just out of the design phase so I don't have many good pics.

3. I need some ideas for graphics.
-Nothing super crazy just some simple full body geometric designs or some sort of multi tone paint scheme.

The photos won't be judged on how ugly the car may look with the mods. They will be judged on who (in my opinion) did the best job of producing an accurate portrayal of what the car will look like should I actually get these mods done.

Basically if the car looks like crap in that color or with that bumper I still wanna see the pics and you can still win the $50.

Try and keep the pics big and resolution as high as possible. If you can't post them you can always email them to jstadther@jhu.edu

Below are links to all the pics you should need for the chop but if you need more feel free to let me know. I have pics of my actual car and I also have the pics from the Veilside website since they are in a clean background. If you use the pics of the red Spyder I would like to see you chop my gunmetal RO_JA Formula 7's on it. I attached a pic of my wheels, if you need more you should be able to find some on www.rojawheels.com (http://www.rojawheels.com/) They are the 19" wheels by the way. The wheels on the red spyder are 18's.

To win you have to submit atleast 2 different pictures. ex.. One picture with the car in a new color and stock bumper and one pic with the new bumper. The more pics the merrier though.

One last thing. As you may notice the area around the exhaust on the back bumper is painted black. I would like to keep it that way but I'm open to ideas.

i played a little bit with it last night and let me tell you, it isn't easy changing your color. i did get th bumper on and in place pretty easy, but with the color differences and the darkness of your car, i couldn't match them up well. i was trying the crome orange though. the blues might be easier.

on a sidenote, i'm all for the new bumper. i like the looks of it much better.


i'll give the blue colors a try later. oh yeah, the chrome orange is hot.

One other thing.. If anyone can get the chrome orange working I would like to see what it would look like if the recessed center of the hood and front bumper were painted black. Same thing would be nice to see with the blues.

it's at its maximum dimensions, so you don't need to do anything. i shouuld have went to your streetsource account and got the pics myself. i see now there's a lot of image quality loss in those pics you linked. if i get froggy, i'll do it over with the better pics.

Heres mine finally. I tend to do a little bit every night.

Yes its the same car....i just HEAVLY modified the front so i could make the Acura TL lights look right. And i also cut out alot of body and made it sleeker. 2 door conversion, Foose Spank 5 rims, SHAVED, good amount of drop, Nice Purple/Black Fade paint, handmade side mirror. I think thats most of it.

Although I do really like the wood grain and wheels on that one, I went with the first one because it looks like he put more time into it to me. finer points seem to be the ones that got changed on that one. just a lot of little things that i think made it better, point for point type of deal.

its mercury mountaineer lights, modified. its def different, and i didnt use the whole mountaineer grill becuase it looked odd, so i just put the grill in the focus spot. aand im sure he put more time into it, so its cool. also my bad w/ the antenna thing, i didnt notice.

One thing i noticed on NVR2LO's chop is the side marker light. Not picking just pointing out, it wasnt deselected or shaved before the woodgrain pattern was laid so it has a woodgrain pattern as well. That was the only downfall i saw to the chop. But it still suited my styles more. Good work on both parts.

Personally i like your entry, i like seeing people do different things with their chops. The larger percentage of people just lay a ride out, and do big rims. I would actually like to lift a ride, or rod one every now and then. My skills just havent come that far yet.

Thanks, i appreciate the comments. I try to turn out some decent work every now and then. I practice everyday, and thats what i recommend for anyone using Photoshop. You will learn something new everytime, and dont let the haters get you down. At somepoint they had to start too.

Wow....every month everyone does the same thing???!!?!?!? DB shave graphics and huge rims that tuck, i gave my vote to phil becasue atleast he did one thing that wasnt dont and thats the cover over the wheels. Im noone to judge becasue i cant do this crap but maybe lift some vehicles or mold diffrent parts on em i dunno. Lik ei said im not one to judge but its seems its the same thing diffrent month. just my 2 cents

okay, well then the winner of the previous month may still post their submission, but it will not be counted towards voting. they still, however, choose the next months image.

and incase of a tie, voting will be extended for one day.

to submit your photoshop, post your image into the current thread for that month. it'd be nice to give us a list of your mods that you've created, but it's not required.
