How about adding an events section? You could have sub catagories:

Upcoming Events

Show reviews or recaps

This would be a good addition in my personal opinion, but lets see what others say.

Wow, i had a suggestion that had support! That doesnt happen often. So, does it look like we might get this section added? I got flyers for 3 new shows today, plus the ones i already had, so ive got quite a bit of info to post.

I dont think it interfere's with djm. Just a place for everyone to to post info on a show or find whats happening/who's goin to what.

Drop jaws section is an area for them to advertise their events and happenings. If we add an event section it would be for everyone to post info on the shows goin on in thier areas, and to find out about shows in other places. Dropjaw actually has something similar on their site, but its an event calander. It wouldnt be any kind of interference with them. Ill moderate the area if needed. The last event sections (on another site i work for) i set up, got laid out like this:

-Pre-June 2006
-June 2006
-July 2006
-August 2006
-September 2006
-October 2006
-November 2006
-Post-November 2006
-Reoccuring Events
-Show Review and Recaps

Shows and events is the main forum the rest are sub forums. Im not saying it has to be this way. This is just easy to navigate. Also, this will not be limited to VA only events, we would post any and every event we could find, and want to share.

suggestion, how about putting the city and state in the title of the post also.. that would help to find shows if people are looking for a certain one but not sure the name but know the loc. rather then have to go through all of them

The permissions may not be set correctly, ive asked an administrator to check them. You should be able to post there in a bit, and thanks for the heads up.
