Ok I want to be able to hook up my Ipod to my car stereo. I have the tape adapter and also the FM transmitter. I don't like either one. I want to hook it up by either hacking into the stock radio or using an adapter. I drive a 96 Nissan Maxima GLE with a Bose stereo. Anyone have any ideas.

Not sure about the stock radio... I know a lot of aftermarkets are starting to put in the inputs for the ipod/mp3player/etc... so you just plug it in and go. Haven't seen one for a stock radio tho... /shrug

i have a kenwood HU and bought the connector to connec the ipod to the headunit. if your stock HU has rca inputs then you should be able to hook it up fine

Any luck with it yet phigity? It still kills me how much they add on to stock radios, but still refuse to add the things that so many people ask for like RCA inputs or the stereo input like you need here...leave it to the factory....

I have the nano iPod, so there isn't jack out for it yet.
Hopefully though I want to get the car adapter though.

it's got a dock connector so you can use an FM transmitter or a tape adapter. you can also get it hardwired. all ipods, except the shuffle, have dock connectors. thats how the hard wiring kits work.
