ok, im trying to get this interior completely done...i hate the look of vents and since im big on the 2/50 AC im gonna close off the vents that can be seen, all the window defroster vents can stay though...By doing this will it just shove the air towards the windows or is it going to put pressure on where ive shut the vent...ive looked all around my heating and AC system and from what it seems like it jsut flows to any open spot, like when you shut your AC vent normally. Tell me what yall know, i have a back up plan if shutting them off is going to cause troubles...

well, i took the center ones and put my guages there, all i had to do was tape over the vent hole that the air came through, so all it does is push the air to the other two. As long as you dont put the setting on the face, you should and will be fine.

It wont hurt anything by shutting off the visible vents. All it does is re-route the air to different vents.

yeah dude, closing up 2 wont do anything, duct tape works good, or just straight nothin.. i mean if you expect to get any pressure from your other vents, def. close it off with duct tape or abs and plastic epoxy to be real hardcore about it... itll just reroute the air to the other vents... the nly times youd run into problems is if you happened to close off all the vents and still tried pushing air through... that would cause the air to look for other places to come out i.o.w. make a place for it to come out... even then its not very likely even then to cause a huge prob.
good luck cant wait to check it out

my .02 are just like everyone else's. no problem in closing off 2 vents as long as it's not all of them.

If you're closing up the vents you should probably take the ductwork out. That would give you a lot more room under the dash and make it easier to work under it.
