So I'm thinking of getting a car to drive in addition to my truck and Harley.
So far I'm leaning towards a used 05+ mustang or an SVT Focus. The focus is leading because of the affordability factor.
Gimme your opinions.

I understand the whole affordability factor but I don't honestly see how those are even in the same comparison lol...and since I am guessing the desire is to stay Ford and have something sporty I stay stick with the stang

Just thought he might be trying to stay there since he drives a ranger and only mentioned mustang and focus as the options...I personally like the new fastbacks but there are many cars out there I would love to own if I had enough money and garage space lol

i honestly can't see you as a "focus" guy let alone an SVT focus guy... just sounds ricey(i know i know its not rice blah blah blah) but cmon, do you even have to ask. You can get a new GT loaded out the ass with 1mile on the speedo for probably around 30, put a few bucks down and you can get the payments to around 450-500/mo, thats not bad at all. Or, the crappier option, buy a used one, since they depreciate so quickly, you can get one with 15k on it for around 20 easily.. theres one in Warrenton, loaded, GT for $19,500 with around 20k on it i think. Not bad, as long as you plan on keeping it, who cares how fast it depreciates, it'll look badass doing it haha

i was behind an svt focus the other day.. it was nice and i liked the looks of the back side of it.. but i'd definately prefer the mustang..
price wise... . .. . .. . . .. .. yeah focus

well if those are the only ones i had to choose from then i'd pick the stang but i don't like either personally. if you want something to just drive back and forth then why not just go for the focus (cheaper and cheaper gas)?

Right now I'm just throwing around idea's in my head. Yes it will be a Ford, one way or another.
The reason the SVT Focus is looking good right now is cause it would be fun cheap transportation. I can get a used SVT for around 10K.

Why Ford? there are like 30 other car manufacturers out there, almost all of which make better cars (except SD Trucks) IMO

if your looking for something that is fun and you are not going to dump money into except for maintence a SVT focus is not a bad coice BUT be warned even under boost those zetec motors are dogs but i agree that the little booger handles VERY well and is fun to drive
As far as the mustang is concerned its a very inviting car only thing that kinda hinder people away from them is that the bottom end of those modular motors arn't that strong other than that i haven't heard to many negative things about them

go with the focus. boost is getting cheaper and cheaper on 'em. cheaper to maintain. can outhandle most in the corners. one of the best handling cars from the factory i've ever driven (and have driven plenty). yeah, i'm biased, being a previous focus owner. but still, bang for buck, i'd go with the fofo.
