i was at work at the beach and of course the strip was packed like hell with cars stopping and going. Two cars of the same model caught my eye. i looked and i didnt know what the hell they were. they were both convertable, one was red and the other white. I walked up to the driver of one of them and he said they were AVANTIs. he said they were brand new ****. I forgot who he said made them, some group ive ner heard of. They were sweet as hell looking, he said they cost around $75,000. just wondering if anyone else has heard of these?

It is truly an UGLY A$$ car! It looks like a late model Firebird with a hideous nose job! I bet that the new ownrs of the company bought the old firebird tooling from GM and designed the nose.

I agree with the last 3 posters. You couldn't pay me 75K to drive that thing.

The Avanti has been around for aver 40 years. Originally a Studebaker, but I don't know who is making them now. I agree that they aren't the most athestically pleasing, but The reviews that I have seen & read rate them highly.

Wax on, Wax off...the blond chick in the Karate Kid (elizabeth shue?) was driving a purple one. The original models looked so much better.
