I'm thinking of getting an Umpire License for Little League and PONY baseball. Since the college I'm at doesn't have a team and I'm too old to play in any league's I'd figured I'd become an Umpire so I can still be in the sport somehow. Besides, I'll get to argue with coaches and it's JOB. So, if for some reason, anybody knows where or if they have Umpire School in the area, let me know. Thanks.

I did that when i was in high school, i umped Junior high school games, and all little league games under my age group, and some high school when i was a senior. Its fun for a while, but the money isnt great, and i hate standing for long periods of time. (which is why i joined the Marines..hahahahaha)

pay doesnt have to be that great...think about it...you only work a couple games which is a couple hours...and if you like the game it wouldnt be that bad at all...****** enjoyable...especially if it was softball...haha

the parents ruin the game...not only for the kids, but for the umpire especially. you can deal with them for a while, but you'll get sick of it. I did

That's what kind of got me thinking about maybe doing this as a summer job.

I went to my cousin's Little League game on Saturday it was pitiful how the parents were acting. They push the kids so damn hard it's sad. I know when I was playing Little Leauge, it was all about having fun! I mean, there were a few ****head parents out there who acted as if their kids **** didn't stink, but that's everywhere. Those kids aren't out there playing for multi-million dollar contracts, so why they have to be pressured into being pefect confuses me.

But anyways, yeah, hopefully I can get into a school and get certified before the season really gets going this summer. I'd kinda like to see a coach question me.

its fun to tell parents to **** off, but you'll get tired of having to do it so much, it slows the game down, blah blah. its fun for a while though. id do it again if i had time. I know i'm at least going to be a coach when my boy plays.
