Long story short I broke the face for my headunit. The stereo itself still plays and everything, but the display is all messed up. You can't see anything being displayed on it. I have a stock headunit from a 2000 civic my friend gave to me. My question is can the Honda headunit be hooked up to my car (99 VW Passat), and how would I go about doing so. This is just going to be a temp fix for like a week until I can buy a new headunit.

It could be but it would be FAAAR more trouble than its worth.

thats what I was thinking too, but I flip stations on the radio and tracks on the cd all the time, and its very aggrivating when I can't tell what track/station I'm on.

Just buy another aftermarket one, you can get decent ones for cheap, it would probably take you hours and the stock honda wiring harness to make that thing work.

I don't get paid till next week, and I am going on a road trip this weekend, thats why I was asking. I didn't think it was going to be all that difficult, but if it is I might just pass on it then. Thanks for the advice.
