hey guys, I am interested in getting a mustang as the title states probably a 94 or 95 due to my budget. I am trying to figure out what i need to look out for ( mechanical flaws etc.). Let me know if you guys have any ideas/opinions, or know a good place to get one, thanks.

its simple u see one the rear of the car its in a blue circle thats what u have to look out for F.O.R.D
Fix Or Repair Daily
The usual engine knocking look at the rear tires to see if the car has been doged or to see how good of shape the car was in just the basics start the car and look at the gauges thats about all

Ignore that F.O.R.D comment. WTFuc
As with any used car, get under the car and look for signs of overspray or damage.
Make sure it shifts smoothly.
Make sure there are no ticks or knocks in the motor.
Make sure the steering is tight.
You may want to get a Carfax on it.

A big thing to look out for on Mustangs (or any uni-body sportscar) is if the floorpans are cracked and on mustangs if the driverseat frame is cracked. The floorpans can crack where they attach to the rockerpanel. This happens when people drive the hell outta the car without sub-frame conectors.

I owned a 94...........and after three weeks of it....i threw it away in the trash can. It was the worst vehicle i had ever owned. I tihnk that the 90 integra 4 dr i owned as a first car drove and handled better than the mustang. The seats sit at a weird angle to the sterring wheel so its difficult to get in and out. when you turn the body keeps moving even after you finished in the turn.
the interiors are cheap as crap and poorly designed.....tho that still was in use till 98 or later...it sucks. I would get either a newer one or a much older one like a 89 or 90

Thanks guys, I was looking for specifics, which helped from some. BTW, I have a FORD ranger, and I love it, so the anti-ford comments go in one ear out the other. I just want soemthing sporty, and semi good looking. Plus I'm tired of the single cab truck, not enough room to lay my seat back or throw stuff behind the seat.

Yea, so I realized that that gen of mustang pretty much sucks ****s, so I think I might keep my truck or look into an import instead
