Couple days ago I noticed my post count was still at 16 when it should have been a little higher, now its down to like 13....and having to get 50 posts now to get all the extras isnt helping lol

It went down because all your posts in the Off-Topic boards don't count towards increasing your post count. When the setting was made so your posts won't increase, the current posts you had in the Off-Topic boards became void. I think. lol. To increase you have to post in the Automotive boards and Regional boards.

No one who has a sig, avatar etc will be losing them.

I have not changed anyones post count, but like Joey said, certain board that are irrelevant to anything having to do with a motor, do not count toward post count.

Or, you could just not worry about how many posts you make, and just post where you want, about what you want.

Post numbers are not important, IMO someone who has 10 quality is a better member then someone who has 1000 stupid posts or 995 posts in off-topic and 5 that are relevant

very true adam. post counts don't make the person. the number of good posts they make and also how long they have been around tells the quality of the poster.

couldn't agree more. on a lot of sites, i see people with 50 kazillion posts.... 99.9% of them being in off topic. they're just there to watch their numbers rise. one of the other sites that i frequent just as much as this one has the same policy with OT posts not counting. it's a smart idea.

The only thing that ticks me is now I just wanted to change my avatar and I can't because there is a limit on it. I really don't care about my post count....but isn't there a way that we can still do avatar and title changes under 50 posts? I don't want to just ***** up other threads in order to get to 50 just so I can change my info. (I can envision other people doing that.)

^^ i dont think there is unless you get like Adam or someone to change it for you...i think you just have to wait until you get 50....

yes i believe you are doomed to wait. but look on the bright side....it's only 32 more posts!
