I saw a red one back in November on I-95 in North Carolina near the Outlet Mall in Smithfeild. I saw a yellow one the night of the cruise when I was on my way to Scott's house.

i dont like them...i think its the fenders that i dislike. IMO chevy should have brought back the 67-72 c-10 body style instead. my friends dad has a red ssr. a month or so ago my friend borrowed it one friday night and we went cruisin up to the bk on 28. after taking a ride in it i liked it a little more...cause the seats and interior layout is very comfortable. the convertable top is very cool too. one thing that sucks it that it comes with the same engine as my brothers silverado, just suped up a little. for 50 grand that truck should have come with a vett engine.
i think it does look much better now that tj removed the jack stands from under it, lol. now if you could swap the spare up front for a full size wheel like on the rear.

personally i don't like them. who cares if it has 19's/20's. i don't like the retro-looking cars that are coming out now. i'd like to see one laid out but i'd never buy one. plus they are like high 40's for a price. who the **** would pay that for such an ugly truck?
btw....the 05 stangs are ok...nah i'm kidding...they are ****ing ghey also!

i dont like the idea of bringing the mustang back as retro. the main purpose behind a retro vehicle is not to be mainstream, its meant for brand association. not everyone wants a new tbird or a new mustang or a new SSR. but they want to go to a dealership and see one when they are searching for that perfect cavy or escort...those cars are meant to bring in people to check it out...same with the aztec, but that just failed. people were uterly scared to go to a pontiac dealership...the retros are one of those neccessary evils involved in automobile marketing...the mustang looks cool, and itll have a bunch of people coming in to buy but i dont see as many people getting them. There has been a sudden surge of foreign market cars and the only way american can really differentiate itself besides building efficient and lowkey cars is to create a niche for these retros...
for my opinion, i can honestly say i like them, however ill never own one...its just not my style dawwwwg

I think its gonna be awhile until we see some static and bagged SSRs just because in the newest issue of Truckin' they did an article on a dropped SSR and the shop had to make a one-off spindle because of the funky way they have the suspension set up. Bagged will be alittle easier i guess if its all jsut weldone.. but if you have to do liek what the (93-97 mainly) ranger does with the lowered ibeams required before baggin. itll be awhile
