now i dont know a thing about turbos, but is that the part that glows red when run hard. if so that would be pretty cool to see in your rear view as you were gettin passed.

that would be pretty cool but i seriously doubt hes running alot of boost unless that motor is fully built with stronger aftermarket parts cuz in a turbo that large, pushin 10 or even 15 pounds could literally ripe the block a new exhaust port

Well, seeing as how that Supra is built for running in NDRA, IDRC, and NHRA Sport Compact street tire class, I think that the motor would be built up to handle the boost.

No Brian, you wouldn't see that glow in your rearview. The part that is sticking out of the hood is the intake side of the turbo, the part that glows is the exhaust side which is behind it.

As for the filter subject, when you build a motor to these specs, it doesn't run long, much like how Professional dragsters (Kenny Bernstein, John Force, Cruz Pedregon's cars) are broken down after each run, this car is probably torn apart after every event and rebuilt. Therefore, a little bit of dust and whatnot isn't going to be a big deal, and a filter would cause a little restriction.

yeah, you dont go to the trouble of putting a turbo that big on a car "just for the hell of it" i believe that thing has all of 1400hp... at the wheels haha...

that thing is crazy cool, id love to see it take off
