specifically Powermaster 140amp. for those who have done this.

i'm more curious about the one wire hook-up vs the three wire hook-up. i know the one wire is fine, but i was told that when at idle and even more so with a underdrive pulley, that the volt gauge will jump around. this is supposed to be due to fact that the alt starts charging at a certain RPM from what i understand. now the three wire hook-up is supposed to connect the wire that tells it to charge from the time you turn the ignition key on, to the time it's turned off. again, from what i was told.

did anyone start with "one wire" and need to go to "three wire"?

p.s. i love putting on new parts! and just in time for Sat. still a butt ugly truck though:(

no, i haven't dropped it yet :( still need to purchase flip kit and shocks.............oh yeah and it needs to warm up and stop SNOWING!

Powermaster makes a 200 amp version also, but expensive! 140 is enough for my needs. MSD ignition and coil, e-fan conversion, Bazooka tube. actually 140 is well than more, but you never know. my current stock one is on the way out, so i thought why spend $180ish for a new stock replacement when i can get a 140 version for a little extra.

now, who has done the upgrade? i know adam has, because when i searched on RPS for stuff, one of his post was the first result i got.
