ideas for a new system

i was going to put money into new headers for my car, but when i realized that it would be cooler to do a pretty good sound system, i decided to use the $$$ i had saved up ($500) and put it towards a system. tell me what you think.....

^^^what do you guys think of this brand? have you heard any good or bad? i have only heard good things. do you guys think that amp will be enough? the subs say up to 750RMS, and that amp says 800x2 max, so i figure it should be pretty good.

as of 830 tonight, the 2 10" Solobaric L7s have been ordered, should be here in 2-5 business days. have any of you guys heard anything good or bad about these subs?

Arent those the squares? If so they are pretty decent from what I have seen. My buddy Kris had 6 15 in Squares in the back of a 98 Dodge Fullsize van. and that thing BUMPED!!

yeah, these are the square ones. mine are not 15s and i dont have 6 of them. i will have 2 10" in a 2003 Dodge Stratus R/T, its a coupe, so i think this should be plenty. im not going for competition with SPL, dB and stuff like that. i just want it to sound good.

next is going to be a compnent system along with a new amp, i guess im going to do away with the factory amp, or i guess use it to power just the rear speakers. would that be possible?

here are the component systems im looking at.....

Kicker
because i would like to try, and keep it the same brand as the subs, but its not incredibly important.

MB Quart
because i have heard a couple of these systems in people's cars and they sound SUPER CLEAR!

Rockford Fostgate
because they seem to have high quality stuff, i think this is the fanatic p, series, which is their medium grade series.

Phoenix Gold
because i have only heard good things about their brand.

what do you guys think?

i would recommend kicker or phoniex gold.... rockfords quality SUCKS now... all it is is mass produced best buy & circuit city bull****.... and the same goes for MB quart... def not what they used to be... kicker on the other hand is still badass... I have a kicker 1200.1 on my 15" L7 and it rocks the piss outta it... just a little tid bit of info on rockford... the guy who used to design all their badass older amps quit rockford and works for kicker now making thier amps! MTX is also a very good company to go with... their stuff is very good quality!

yeah, i think i am leaning towards going with all kicker stuff. i have just always been one to match brands like that. and its good to see somebody else's approval of kicker.

JL all the way. Or Planet Audio. Both are very good. There is a shop in Newport News that sells Planet Audio and they hook me up when I go there.

yeah, i know JL & Planet Audio are good, for like competitions and stuff, but im not looking to do that kind of stuff right now, i more just want something that sounds good, and wont fall apart immediatly after i install it.

JL sounds good to just cruise to. Get 2 JL w3 10's or 12's.. you will be inheaven. Tune it so its good for what you like an dsit back. I got 1 w3 12 with a Fosgate 250 amp and i listen to a lot of rock and rap, mostly acoustic rock b/c my girl loves it and it sounds DAMN good fo rjust cruising.

JL - over rated JUNK... thats why JL starts with J... cuz it is JUNK.... i'm sorry there is A LOT better product out there and a lot cheaper then JL... and when it comes to their amps... ive seen soo many problems with those crap ass amps... the shoulda just stayed making speakers cuz their amps are worse then their subs....

Yeah I have (though not in the truck since the amps and subs were stolen) the R series, componetns for the front and two ways for the rear...and they sounded pretty decent and not a bad price either
