I got my cheap ass intake from ebay. Does anyone know how to install it? I have already put the cone on the pipe and the pipe on the accordian hose of my intake. How do i get it to not just hang there in the engine compartment? They sent me a bracket, but i dont know what its for or how to install it. THanks for the help.

ha ha that sucks. your computer is broke. hey by the way it probably has some sort of bracket you need to bolt onto the side of something like i had to with mine remember. alright hit me up if you have some problems if you dont need help go and check out the owner profiles on streetsourcemag maybe that will help.

my k&n kit has something similar. one part bolted to the one of the stock air box mounts. i think it shares a bolt with the fusebox. and then on the other end of the brace ther was a "U" shaped metal piece that the air pipe rested in like a cradle.

Is that the acctuall CAI for that truck be casue the intake is supposed to go onto your intake manifold not the hose running from it. there should be 2 pipes that you got, one is for standard intake and the other is to run it lower for cold air. That looks liek the extension peice. That is also what that bracket is for, its to hold up the filter and extention when it gets to long.

no, thats the whole thing...its a $30 intake for my truck off ebay. i know its cheap, just looking for an idea on how to keep it from dangling into my radiator. Adam thinks i need to put the bent end of the bracket under a hose clamp on the intake and bend it to mount somewhere.

All the cheap 30 intake ive seen have come with 2 peices. But in any case have you tried to see if it would fit directly onto the intake manifold?? If not then id just rig it up and use the bracket liek you said just 2 mount it somewhere.

Ive seen those intakes and im pretty sure whoever is selling them doesnt test fit that bracket. Its pretty much wherever you can rig it up like most of the Ebay ones.
