Ok so I got an Autopage RS-855LCD alarm/remote start for xmas from my girlfriend. Im not gonna risk installing it myself because Ive never done it before and Im not in a hurry to fight with wiring. The local audio shops up here have quoted me between $175 and $225 which is rediculous. Will anyone on here WITH experience install it for a halfway decent price or just give me a hand for some cash?

that is the normal price to install an alarm that you bring to a shop. Best thing to do is to find out were your girl got it and take it back. Then go buy another one and normally the install is alot cheaper if you buy the alarms that the shop carries.

Its a drive but Scott (Urban Noise (http://vacustoms.com/forums/member.php?u=73) ) installs those things all the time for waaaaaay cheaper than that, he works at an audio shop down here and does a lot of side work.

Ill probably shoot Scott a pm and see whats up cause $200 is to much, even if it is the going rate.

i would do it cheaper but i have no time. I know another installer that will do it for $150. Let me know if you are interested. And by the way those prices you were quoted arent too bad considering the amount of work that goes into an alarm install. The lowest I will do a full alarm for is $100 and that depends on the vehicle and alarm model. If you find somebody that will do a PROPER and PROFESSIONAL installation for cheaper then you are a pretty lucky man. Sure you might have a friend that'll do it for a case of beer, but can you really trust his install skills?
