I was looking at body kits for 2002 WRX's and i see front lip spoiler, front air dam, blah blah.
i know what a front air dam is, but what is a front lip spoiler??? can someone make a diagram or something to help this retard understand this stuff.
thanks

wrx with front lip spoiler (http://www.robearracing.com/prod_images_large/ACFa863Yc.jpg)
wrx without front lip spoiler (http://home.socal.rr.com/gnmace/subaru%20wrx%20front%20close.jpg)
roy pretty much said it. it's like a ground effects kit but more subtle.

soo, i'm guessing if i get a wrx this weekend or next week as planned, i should look into a front lip instead of a front air dam...
very well.

I guess it all depends on what you get. dont get me wrong i think i said that in the wrong way. Some kits can look very nice. My buddy club front i love, fits the intercooler perfect. I just think lip kits look much cleaner. I think the way i said it i put myself out saying that body kits were ugly. which there not by far i just like the nice clean look!
mold it in for the clean look.

mold it in for the clean look.no no no no no no no no, its a WRX not a civic, no no no no no no no.
You are going to end up with a cracked up nasty looking irreversable junk box, if you mold the kit in on a car you drive regularly.

Agreed. Not to mention if you by chance scrape or crack any of the panels you have to repaint half of the damn car to make it look right again.

if i were to get anything, i would get a front lip anyway... i dont see a point in getting a front air dam because then i'd have to get the whole kit, and i havnt found a body kit i like.

i plan on getting a cusco cf front lip and some kinds of sides and rear but that will be my list things to get b/c i don't care much about looks anymore. first 8g's in the car will be performance. mmmmmmmmm
i think the license plates shall read either evo kila or v8 killa. something along those lines advertising to the little punk who like to rev on people all day with their intakes and coffee cans to do it to another car or stare at my taillights.

lol...my plates are gonna read something like: whatever va gives me. haha and the first 8 G's are gonna be the first 8gs of payments. lol
but really, i'll get an intake and some up and down pipes, blah blah. nothing big.

watch getting a cold air intake for a scooby without quite a few mods already. cai creates turbulence around the MAF and creates havoc of them. all i've been doing it talking to people who drive these cars and the best first things you can do it TBE (turbo back exhaust), ECU reflash or piggback (UTEC!!!!). those need to be done hand in hand along with porting your internal wastegate. since the stock exhaust system even more so on a WRX rather then a STi is so restricive (3 cats), when doing a TBE it createsboost creep and thats no good. stock boost is 14.5psi and you'll be spiking at 17-19psi. everything mod with these cars are based around the ecu. i'd suggest the UTEC b/c it comes with so many maps already d/l'ed and many more to get. it's pricey but that what i plan on doing and for another $70 you can get a switch to flip between the different maps on the fly (nitrous, 91 & 93 octanes, stock, high/low boost). good luck and if you have any questions ask. i don't know everything but i'm learning a lot.

ya, i wasnt planning on doing anything without askin someone on Nasioc, but what you say makes a bit of sense. if thats true, then i dont think i'll be getting anything done to this car. haha
thats all wayyy to expensive. i'm used to minitrucks.

you could just shop at auto zone, advance auto parts, or pep boys for all your performance needs.
