ColdFusion Nitrous Install Complete

Well.........like the title says, ITS DONE. Was running into a few problems but got all but one worked out (leaky purge). Im gonna try and fix the purge tomorrow. So i went out on 64 and tested that pig out and man does she have some wings now, the rear just squats and digs till i let go. And thats just with the 75 shot. Im going to change out the jets to a 100 shot on friday. Should be some intresting numbers at VMP this friday.

i thought that coldfusion was CO2 and not nitrous? i could have sworn i saw kits at a show it he was advertising it's safer then nitrous and blah blah blah.

hey livedakota,
ave you built your motor any to handle nitrous? I thought in order for a motor to handle a 100 shot you would have to build it to handle it. I've always been told that my 4.3 wouldn't be able to handle a 75 shot for very long. or are you planning on rebuilding the motor later?

The stock 360 (5.9L) in dakotas can handle a hundred shot just fine with premium gas and maybe some booster. Anything bigger than that and you get into having to pull timing and all that other mess. Over the winter i will be putting on new heads, intake manifold, exhaust, and a cam. Once all that is done i should be able to run a 125-135 shot with some timing pulled.

Im not sure on the 4.3L. I've heard of a couple of guys in the area running a 75 shot with no problems at all. Its just one of those things ya gotta make sure not to overdo and you'll be fine.

yeah the 4.3s can handle 75 pretty good, and 100s every now and then. 100s should have some work done to it though.

well my bad then. i know there is a company that is offering a CO2 kit. maybe it's just for spraying an intercooler b/c i don't know how Co2 sprayed in the block would work.
