Hey I want to lower my 98 civic 1.75in or 2in at the most. Which lowering springs would be the best?

depends if you're just going for "looks" or handling?

check this link out:

they have some pretty respectable names on there.

yea it depends on what you're lookin for. Eibachs are really good for handling and ride quality. Intrax is good too. and if you really wanna spend some money but want superb handling and ride quality look into a set of Tein's.

Teins or Eibach Sportlines. i have eibach sportline springs on my 03 accord, dropped it about 2" all the way around, and still rides nice. not bumpy at all.

i agree, the sportlines are good springs. i think the prokit offers a 1-1.5" while the sportlines have 1.75-2.25" drop. depends on how low you are lookin to go. if you get the sportlines i would suggest a set of aftermarket struts like tokicos or the kyb-agx's

Yeah, i got an Eibach Prokit for my Altima...rides nice, even better than stock most of the time. Dropped me 1.75 in the front and .5 in the rear....

if you go with skunk2, get new shocks too. Is this suspension for performance such as autocross or looks?

i would save up and get a full true coilover setup they ride awesome and handle even better (i strongly suggest tein) but if that isn't your bag i also like ground control coilovers paired with tokico's and if that still isn't your bag i suggest eibach sportline they have been around a long time and know their stuff

i would definitly save your money and get a set of full coilovers. if you do go with springs you will need to replace your struts shortly after if you want a good ride quality. the coilovers are a bit pricy but definitly worth the money and wait.

Skunk2 also manufactures a spring (non-sleeved)
They lower 2.5 all around and run about 185$. The spring rates are F 8.5k R10k
A stiff ride for sure, but promised performance as well.

Currently i'm running on KYB AGX 4x adjustable shocks with Ground control coilovers w/ custom spring rates. And i'm lovin life.

This setup should cost around the same price as a nice set of OmniPower coil/dampers.
