Ok so I was looking around and found some ideas thanks to 02sonoma as to what I will do for color of the interior of the truck.
I'm still trying to work out getting that blue 1500 extended car or just keeping the blue s-10 xtreme.
either way I want to change the whole interior of the vehicle. I'm looking at using possibly some tweed but I would also like you guys to sugest other types of fabrics or whatever to do.
here is what I cam up with so far.
The following are the two types of tweed that I have found that I like so far. I was planning on using the interlude indigo tweed for the majority of everything (baisically all the plastics) then the dark blue tweed for accents. I was thinking like were the groves are all over the plastics and such I could take like a thin foam piping (the stuff that is used to make like the piping around seats and stuff just thinner) wrap it with the dark blue tweed (it's a little lighter in color so it would set off certain parts) put it in the cracks and such. I think that would add some nice accents. I was thinking about the caribean blue but that's just to bright.

i know for a fact that the carribean blue is a REALLY bright blue. its whats on, well sort of, my girls suburban. its in the process of being worked on. shes using the malibu sand to throw off the blue a little bit. but it looks good, just really bright.

i think the dark blue looks great...but the light blue is very bright. i think if you have blue everything then that would be to much blue. have you thought about using a different type of fabric along with the tweed? katskin had several crazy different types that look awsome in the "inserts" of the seats. i would say to try a different color than blue that will complement the dark blue and also a differnt texture to add contrast. just my 2 cents...take it or leave it.

I think all tweed and all blue is to much. Tweed is a nice fabric but its overused on almost every application ive seen. People tend to tweed everything possible and it looks tacky IMO. The dark blue tweed with a different fabric and different color to accent it would be nice or even a different color all together to kinda set off the blue exterior.

well i don't know what this katskin is, is that an online store or is that the type of material? Also I looked back at the fabrics because I was thinking that caribean blue was rather bright after i go to thinking about it. so i saw they have an indigo blue wich is darker then the dark blue and seeing as my truck now is indigo blue and so is the one that i'm trying to get. then that will work for everything. then the dark blue for the accents.
as far as other types of fabricks I plan to use a different types of fabric for the dash and doors but for the extended cab portion of the cab I was thinking tweed for all the plastic there.
is there a good fabric that is more smooth that I could use that would be thin and able to be wraped around a peice of piping so that I can use that for the small groves in the plastics in the back. I want something smooth for there i think that would be better.

oh, sorry i thought you knew about katskin since you are in the automotive accessory business. katskin is company that makes aftermarked leather seat skins for just about anything. you take off the stock seat cover and put on the leather one. but they dont use tweed. check this place out http://www.autoleathers.com/HTML2/AL.MAIN.FS.html
click on the "exotics" picture to see the different kinds of inserts i was talking about.

the one ploblem with that site is that I don't like leather. don't want it in my truck. I much more prefer cloth seat then leather. I'm from florida and that's were I'm going back to and if you have leather there it's just plain bad new. we were shorts there a lot and well hot day legs on leather equals to you sticking to the seat.
check the first post i rewrote it. looking at different colors the caribean blue is out

does anyone have any other sugestions as to type of fabrics that would look smooth?
The Tweed has a ruff look to it, if I can find a good UV resistant fabric that has a smooth finish or somthing like that I would rather use that because it would flow more with how I want the truck to look.

Weel vinyl is all grav for those who like the pleather look and such but i don't like leather at all. so that excludes vinyl as well. I'm looking for a smooth looking cloth, not like texture but look. like how tweed you can see the individual threads rather blaintant. I'm looking for something that isn't as blaintant as that.
Ok I found this website at here it is a link right to that fabric that I am interested in. has anyone on here ever seen this stuff up close. it looks rather interesting. here is the link http://www.interior-supply.com/autofabrics.shtml they have some other stuff on there but not really sure about it. they do howecer have some cool looking headliner material in many different colors.
