Elizabeth City, NC Dragstrip Oct 2!

Not sure if any of you would be intrested...........but here goes!

A bunch of us SoVa guys are going to the Elizabeth City, NC Dragstrip on Oct 2. Come on out and join us! Myself and Drew went this past saturday and had an awesome time. Its $20 to race and $10 to watch. We were told by the regulars that this coming weekend would be a great time to go out since there wouldnt be a whole lot of people there which means.........lots of runs! I get my slicks this week so i cant wait to see what kind of impovements they make! I'm rather tempted seeing as i will be getting my truck back here on friday. If they give me my truck friday I will be interested in going down there. frmo the looks of it it's about a 2-3 hour drive from norfolk area?

Rambo ....its actually alot closer than that. Its only about an hour drive. It took us an hour and a half last weekend because Mapquest gave me the wrong directions.:D

Like thomas was sayin......There are some really pathetic cars that go down there running 12-13 second 1/8th miles WTFuc I'm sure any of you guys cars/trucks are faster than that.

Its bracket racing. This is how it works if you don't know... you qualify and then when qualifyin is over you guess your time of what you think you'd run but not faster than that (dial-in). So basically if you go against a 8 second car you will get a head start depending on your dial in.

It really is alot of fun. Come on out if your not busy!

Well the plan is to meet at my place in Vabeach and then leave from here around 3:30. If your gonna roll out there with us lemme know and I'll PM ya directions or just give ya my cell number.

Ill be coming by norfolk on 64 heading to drew's house if you need someone to follow. Should be around 2:30-3pm when i come through. Its an awesome time, i highly recommend coming out! lol

well this is what i have come up with. If i don't get my truck by friday i will see if i can go ahead keep the rental for the weekend and go down that way with you guy and just take some video. if I do get the truck I might not do the track but I will however be bringing the the digi cam to take some vids and such. I'm not sure if i want to be racing the truck right after getting it back you know. might want to take it easy for a little bit.

Either way is good. Im sure you will have a good time participating or just spectating. I think there will only be a few of us actually racing anyways. If you need directions or want to follow me over just give me a ring sometime friday or sat (879-0262).

Yeah that is what I was thinking. if i end up with the itch and feel it wont be too soon i probably will run for s and gs but (basically if i take my truck i now i will). if i got the rental i might take it down the track as a joke.

The mall is on greenbrier. Battlefield is one exit past that. You take the 2nd battlefield exit and a left at the first light. You'll see all of us parked in the parking lot.

Looks as if the trip tomorrow isnt gonna be happening because of the rain we're suppose to be gettin tomorrow night. We might go tonight to the same place in NC or wait till sunday and go up to MIR in Maryland.

well it looks like my truck wont be ready, i just checked the voice mail and they said that the headlights they got in weren't the right ones so they had to reoder the right ones. so i wont get her till monday it looks like now. asses.

Most likely pretty soon. Me and Drew are both aching to get some 1/4 mile passes..........especially since im going to be running a 100 shot of nitrous once i order the NX kit tomorrow!! Then drew will :bow: to me on the track!!! LOL

Yeah, we will more than likely be going again to a track (dunno which one yet) next weekend. Probably Friday night again as that is the only night that i have off next weekend.

We went to VMP this past friday. Not sure what the plans are for the next trip but we'll let you know if we come up that way.
