ok, speaker guys...what do you think? there is limited box room in the avalanche. this design will fit 4 6.5" subs. how do you think it will sound?

seems like you could fit at least 2 10s behind the seats.. maybe some of those ultraslim subs used in alot of the standard cab boxes.. or do you not even have the space for that? maybe boxes made to fit underneath the buckets? just throwing out space saving ideas... 6.5"s will provide you tons of midrange but doesnt seem like it'd give out much low end bass.. probably sound pretty good for SQ though

you can very easily fit to slim 10's in there...despite what anyone might say. It depends on who builds your box and if they know what they are doing or not. 6.5s are gonna give u anything but midrange....hardly any bass at all. waste of money..IMO

You could easily fit 2 10s in that space if the box is built right. The 6.5s arent gonna do anything spectacular simply because theyre not capable of it. Id say go with a custom design and try to fit a few 10s back there cause by doing 6.5s youre just going to get midrange.

I put (4) 6" JL subs in my buddies MR2 for him. If you feed those subs the right amount of power and build the box right to spec they jam.

we put a q-logic enclosure in the center console of one of those trucks... it holds a 8" sub in the center console where the little flip up pocket goes... we put a memphis 8" sub and it sounded awesome because it was so close to the driver... i would recommend that box because it takes up NO space and is hidden. Go on q-logic's website and check it out... I would def recommend that box....

I dont think 6.5's would be worth it. It would sound good I'm sure, but probably not like you are expecting it to. my two cents.

once again, people shooting down stuff they've never heard? I have heard two of those little 6" subs in a tiny sealed box and they actually put out a good amount of bass. They are designed to be subwoofers, not midranges. Yes, it may be wise to go with a good pair or 8's or 10's, but those little 6" subs get the job done if you arent looking to get loud.

The natural assumption would be that they wont work very well as subwoofers since they are so small, but they do work pretty well. They are TRUE subwoofers, they are not midbasses. I probably would NOT run them if I had the option of running 8's or 10's but if thats all you can fit then go for it, you wont be dissapointed.

yea, i have heard good things about them. for everyone other than adam and oapy...i can't use an 8 or 10 sub because i have a very small amount of space to work with behind my back seat. and there is not a whole lot of room under those seats either. thats where i am gonna put my amps anyways. and i dont like the center console sub because i dont want my elbow vibrating all the time...plus i finally have a big center console and i am gonna use it for storage.
