ok, well, i finally got my car back a couple weeks ago...and here's the story again, and the repair story, and just how i simply got ****ed...
ok... i'm driving to work one night from where my g/f is dog sitting for someone, about a 25 mile trip one way, and so i'm going up this hill, lose control, hit a curb over a drainage grate, rear drivers side tire's ****ed... so i get's towed to a show about 1 1/2 miles from the accident scene. i call the guy, tell him to give me an estimate, he estimates 1300, so i was like "ok, i'll come pick it up so i can do the work myself" so yeah, i go down to pick it up, and he's like well, it's been sitting for 2 weeks, and 30 dollars a day to take it out... ican hook you up, and have you pay for 1 week of storage, and the 90 for towing, so it was 300 dollars to take it out, which i didn't have, i had to call the tow truck i had coming and cancel, sooo, i call the insurance company, and the guy was like "why'd you wait so long?" and i told him cuz i didn't have any money... cuz i didn't...but the insurance adjuster came out, gave an almost 500 dollar quote to fix it (rim, tire, lower control arm) so i told the shop to go ahead and start working on it.... shop gets it complete... so i'm like cool. call my insurance agent, and he said that the shop never called the ins. company to get a .... damn, forget the word, but the shop is suppposed to call if there's something that's not on the quote to have an adjuster come out and look at it... but yeah, shop never does that, it costs me 1599.02 to get my car out from the shop, and the insurance company doesn't want to pay cuz the shop ****ed up, shop doesn't want to pay, cuz they're ****s... that's the vibe i got when i talked to them..but yeah... **** happens, i have my car back though, and i owe my mom 600 and my sister 300...i was NOT expecting it to be that much... but, on the flip side, i'm selling my car, i cant afford it any more, i spend almost 700 dollars a month on it (between payment, gas and insurnace) so i'm looking to buy a CRX... we'll see how that goes :)
