View Full Version : We need a sticky for selling vehicles.

I have noticed lately that people will post a vehicle for sale and the body of the post will be a line saying:

Car for sale......Call for info

And that is it. After prodding for information you find out that the person is asking thousands above the "Private Sale" value of the car even when the car is bone stock (or has a CAI on it.) Now the person posting has to know that the first thing everyone does is cruse to their favorite consumer price guide and look up a price.

What I am saying here is that we should at least have a sticky that tells them to post the information about the car including COLOR, trans, engine, miles, condition and above all a price! We could also tell them where to go to get a list of the things they should include with their post or just include one in the sticky. I don't care about their asking price, if they want to embarrass themselves by asking an insane price..... I'll laugh at them just like everyone else!

A good sticky would tell them what a good "Car for sale" post would look like. If you have any suggestions post them in here amd maybe we can compile something useful!

Damn Jeremy....that is just what i was thinking. Also include the links to Kelly Blue book and the other online consumer price quote services so that the person posting can do a sanity check on their asking price.

Looks real good!

blue book value is good enough i think. it's added and i made some changes. i'm going to try and work on a better document for a template tonight. some people might get confused with that [ b ] [ /b ] stuff in there.
