I thought it was a nice tatseful use of it. Plus it was a must because i didnt have enough tweed to cover the sides....so it looked like **** because it was all pieced together, so the Diamond plate came in handy as a awesoem cover.

that turned out realy nice. Looks like you have enough screws in the DP that it won't vibrate. Have you tried it out?

Looks badass, i kinda like brians idea about dimond plating the JL but i think that it would look better as just a smooth chrome instead of the DP with the bumps on it. props on that tho

i think more bling on the JL would be overkil... would defeat the clean look of the box.. IMO at least. leave it as it is, it looks badass enough... if you really crave something else, maybe do a different colored tweed over top the JL emblem? dunno if itd look good, just a brainstorm

what do you use to cut the DP? i always use a dremel and a cut off disc...but that takes to long and i go through way to many discs.

i used a jigsaw with a metal blade and a straight edge. Then used the dremel to ground the edges smooth. It turned otu really well. My tweed got dirty due to rain...so im gonna re-tweed it in a couple weeks. Other than that...im happy with it.

Jack....wont be at Nick's so i'll have to make a trip to the shop so u can hear it. Maybe get a lil body work done while were at it.

Looks good man i like the use of the diamond plate. I think adding more might be a little overkill though. Props on all the work though, its clean as hell.

You need to get the re-enforced cut off discs, they are awesome. They last much longer and take a very long time to were down.

or a angle grinder and cut off wheel would take half the time, theres no difficult/detailed cuts so it should be no problem, those reinforced dremel cutoff are pretty sweet to, i used a pack of those to cut out the 1/8" frame around my bag when i first did it, of course i went back after i invested in a angle grinder and did it in half the time to finish trimming.. but those dremels are pretty amazing

It's a selaed box with 2 JL Audio W3V2's down-firing. I hooked up my buddies Planet Audio 2250 the other day just for ****s n giggles and...........GODDAMMNN!!!!! I think i know what my next purchase will be!

In reality, i love the JL Audio line so im probably gonna stick with that. Run a 1000/1 to the subs, a 300/4 for the highs. Im gettin 2 sets of Jl components to keep the highs crystal clear.
