i've put in many headunits, subs, and amps but i'm not too knowledgable when it comes to things like ohms, parellel and series wiring, the different kinds of amps (2 channel, 4 channel), and all that other stuff. i've looked online for some sites that would give some info on these subjects and haven't really found anything. does anyone know of some sites that will explain this all to me? thanks!

what specifically do you what to know.......electronics is not that difficult if you know some basic algebra.

well some dude at work has a new montaro and has 2 10's in a box and is going to buy an amp soon. wants to install it for him and he'll pay me $100. i would had done it for free but since i don't really know him and i need some money i jumped on it. i guess i need to know how to wire the subs. like either in series or parallel.
what i'm really looking for is something that will teach me all that stuff. stuff like how low oh an ohm can you run with a certain setup, whats the best way to wire subs and the different kinds. i guess really why certain ways are better then others and what to and not to do.

dude, did you even check out the link in my first post? it has everything you just listed, and a forum where you could ask specific questions about anything else.

my question to all of you that claim to have done many sub and amp installations is how did you do those if you dont know about ohms? You have to know about ohms in order to properly wire the subs...unless they were already wired up or something. Get the MECP(Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) exam study guide. Its about 200 pages with everything you could want to know about car audio and installation. Everything from how to calculate Ohm's law to how to properly solder two wires. I've read that book inside and out, and it has taught me more than i learned in four years of high school. It has all the basic electronics knowledge you should have and also goes into some of the more complicated stuff.
