Auto of the month

I was thinking that I have seen a lot of other forums elect a vehicle of the month. everyone votes on who's car or truck is selected to be shown on the main page for the month as the winner.

there are no other bennifits other than you get to say you were the truck/car of the month.

How about something like that here. there are enough of rather well modified vehicles on here that could run for it. Would promote more interaction and i think more people would be attracked to visiting the site to see who won for the month.

ummm, i think it wouldnt be fair for me to be VOTM every month, it would get kinda boring for me...hahaha

How about the guy who donates the most cash to the board gets to be the VOTM...... you know.....just like all those car/truck of the year awards in the "mainstream" magazines. Why should we be any different?

I havent found an easily changeable format for the site. If there was some sort of "fill in the blanks" type of website available and I dont have to pay for the whole thing myself, I would do it.

just curious did you have the website made or did you do it yourself? also what would it take like in donations to get somethign like this able to be a regular thing?

Which website?

I have done everything with the forums, the site that was there was made by patrick, and the flash thing that is there now was made with some free program.

It would take someone telling me about a program that makes a website by simply filling in forms and it makes it for you, and then it is easily updateable.

No one really gives a **** about the website, once they have seen it once, they never go there again, they just come to the forums.

I have been studying the php stuff for a while and it does blow the mind a good bit. maybe later when i learn a lot more i could help you out and dress the site up some.

i know that it woud be a lot of work, but as far as the gain goes i like to do that kind of stuff, so it's pleasing to me to do it. I have html and a few of the other types down just trying to learn the php now. it's a lot harder to learn.

I appriciate the offer, but this site is "my baby" and I dont want anyone playing with it but me. I know html, and I know how to use different website programs, but they are all too much work to make the initial site and to keep up to date. Until someone shows me a programs that a monkey could use to make an entire website in an hour or less, its going to stay as is.

that's cool dude. I figured that was the gist of your thinking. but I think it's going to be a very long time before you fins a program that will do as such.
