What is that whine that comes through your stereo when you hook up amps and subs and speakers....?????

i got my fiance's car all hooked up, and there's that damn buzzing from the alternator. Where does it come from and how do i get rid of it?

Thanks guys

you need to replace your snuff-a-luff-a-gus injector module jammy... that will fix the problem....

actully check your ground on your amp and make sure all your rcas are plugged in all the way...and make sure the radio is properly grounded

i checked the ground, made sure there was no paint, made it shorter, i have radio shack rca's, if i got thicker rca's would that make a differance?

make sure your power and the RCAs dont cross and they should stay about 1 foot apart.

Yep what they said, make sure your grounds are good and make sure the rcas and power wire arent right next to one another.

i've heard that the power being close to the rca's doesnt do anything, but i did make sure they were away from each other. And the ground is good.

Run a ground from the head unit straight to the negative on the battery.

u might need a ground loop isolator usually about $10 from anywhere and just goes inline with ur rcas so its easy to throw in

i was talkin to somebody about that, but all that does is covers up the problem, doesnt really fix it, but if i cant fix it, then i'll just get one of those.

ok, so i dont know if you all know this, but i have been trying to put an aftermarket stereo in my fiances car for about a month...

its a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville, and everywhere i took it they said "you cant put one in this car" or "WTF is that?" when they saw the ribbon cable behind the dash. Jeep4me (J) knows what i'm talking about.

well after some interweb searching and some elbow grease, i got it in! and it sounds great, i will post pics up later after i relax. So if you have or know someone who has a 2000 bonneville and want to put an aftermarket stereo in it, i can put it in for you, and it wont be cheap cuz there is a lot of labor involved in putting it in.

everything runs fine... the annoying dings dont work, which is good and bad, if you leave the lights on (they are auto, but if you turn them on during the day) then you wont get dinged if you forget to turn them off.

but other than that, everything works fine
