Anyone interested in getting together for a clean and shine somewhere in the Tidewater area this Sunday? Wash your ride before you come, bring cleaning supplies, drinks and something to munch on! We can do it at Chesapeake City park or the park out on Granby St. in Norfolk or wherever else there is some shade? Or if we want to drink some beer we can do it at my house. Ideas are welcome.

Anyone?

Anyone at all?

How does Sunday at Chesapeake City Park at 2:00 sound? There are a bunch of pine trees as you pull in if you take the first right in the drive-way, where they have the farmers market. The trees should provide some kind of shade.

I don't know if your plans are a definite and this is last minute, but...

August 7th Mid-Atlantic Car Show at Chesapeake City Park
Hosted by Mustang Club of Tidewater
Registration is from 9 to noon with judging starting at noon.
$20 per vehicle plus two cans of food for the food bank.

I attended one of their shows a few months ago and placed with both trucks. They don't really have any set classes and will adjust to what kinds of vehicles show up. They really go by cleanliness. Thats a biggie for them. Their raffle isn't too bad. I wasn't lucky enough to win the 50/50 cash but walked away with a few things from that too.

If you all are really into shows, please let me know. There are still quite a few coming up that I plan on attending. I don't have show trucks but love going to them none the less.

Here are directions:

Take I64 to the Greenbrier Pkwy. south exit. Take Greenbrier Pkwy for about two miles, you will see a YMCA on the left and a jail on the right. Just past the jali on the right is the park on the right. I'll get there a right at abot 2 so look for either my truck or my Element.

Check out the map, The park is the green triangle on the west side of Greenbrier Pkwy. Call me if you have any questions 549-7110.

I'm also gonna bring my laptop so if you have any pics of ECN in digital format please bring them. I'll bring some blank CD's so we can share the pics and burn CD's for everyone. And bring something to drink, it's gonna be warm, I'll try to bring extras.
