Just curious, were are the tracks around the hampton roads area? I would like to see what I can get out of the truck.

Nearest tracks to Hampton Roads are the 1/4 at Dinwiddie/VMP, and the 1/8 in Elizabeth City.

Best for me:

15.6 @ 98 mph in the Subaru on the 1/4.

hmm.. the 91 nissan has a bone stock 93 2.4 ka24e (same as the original 91 motor) and an 87 5 speed in place of the stock auto slop box.. the only things i have done as far as performance- trashed the original air box & cut off some of the air cleaner lid, threw away all the broke azzz a/c parts, and put a cherry bomb muffler on it... i think i can push it into the nines with minor tuning but havent had a chance to take it back to the strip yet

dang that must have been a while ago, when you plan on doing it again? I would like to do mine in about 3 weeks once my arm is out of the cast and can shift w/ my r arm, the whole reach over thing is hard, i did stay up w/ my boy the other night but that was painful trying to hold the wheel with the r hand and shift w/ the left.

Once I have the new motor in my truck maybe. I'm not a racer and my truck is definately not fast. I only ran in Hawaii for chits and giggles

OK so you're actually going to build it right, most people just take a turbo and toss it on there stock motor. and run low boost. there is guy up in hapton that i ran about 6 months ago behind a warhouse that had a s10 2.2L w/ a turbo and i still left him behind me.

Yeah that is why the motor isnt in my truck right now. I could have just slapped it in and called it a day, but I dont do that. Its going to be fully built before it goes in.

i ran a 17.6 in the 1/4 back when all i had was the shell and a 2/3 drop. i imagine is a bit faster being that i actually have something done to it. i figure it runs a 17.59 now.

what? there are quite a few around this area that hit that with no problem. my friend in his 200 sx se-r can even hit that with no problem. i believe he has ran a 9.30 something. not downing the ka, it's a good strong engine. i wish to have a 98 240 sx myself. fastest i ran has been a 10.87@65, but that was before some of my other mods. i know i can hit faster now. i'm guessing low 10's. traction is a major problem though.

*edit*
i was off, he ran a 9.81. a guy by the name of will has ran 9.10 or lower in his delsol.

03 S10 4.3L 2/3 drop and the K&N drop in filter. Otherwise stock. Should go faster now.

sorry i should have specified, MY town hehe.. it's waynesboro where all you need to be fast and furious is a giant erector set wing and a big ol APC sticker in the back glass.. ive lost my share of races too, not tryin to get on here and act all big, was just curious as to who else liked to run.. yeah traction is a big prob for me now too 4" blocks and monoleaf the rearend sits about an inch under the frame rails so i get insane bad wheel hop and no room for slapper bars to cure it..

14.5 in the quarter about 6 months ago in full street trim. Tonneau ,spare , tailgate, system . Havent been back since. I need to go though. I added a new set of P/P heads / Mid length headers and an M1 intake manifold. I should be in the 14 sec flat area and lower depending on traction.

anyone that was at the big show saw my pathetic run down the 1/4. lol. rained earlier in the day, so the air was definitely thick. when the quickest TT'd supra only runs a 14.3, you know it's sad. lol. so yeah, excuses aside, i ran a 17.8. heavy ass 18's, first time ever down the track, not a damn thing done to the car besides exhaust. on a good day, dry air, cooler temperatures, smaller/lighter wheels, i'd hope for low 16's. goal with this is to get it into the mid/low 13's, and i'll be happy. my next car will hit 10's consistently, i promise you that. heh heh.

1/4

IMO if your runnin higher than 12's in the 1/8th you should just give it up lol and start over with another car unless of course you have the money to burn. And yeah ive seen some cars run high 11's low 12's in the 1/8th and barely break the speed limit.

nice... gotta love the tacos.. i had a perfect light once .0000 was the first time my dad ever watched me race, so i sat down in the stands next to him and asked "so what'd ya think?" so he says "looked pretty good, but you need to work on your reaction time a little more" hehehe that was of course before he saw the time slip.. pure luck..
