I'm thinking I want to get an alarm system for the element to protect the crap I'm gonna put in it. What are some good "full-featured" alarm systems. I want all the bells and whistles... including

integration with my current keyless entry system
remote window up/down/vent
remote start
glass break
shock sensor
proxmity sensor
intrusion detection
signal flash
horn blow
loud siren
high/low chirp
extra channels for whatever I come up with later!

I'm looking at the Clifford Avant Guard 5. What are some other good alarms.

Thanks for your input!

I have the Viper 550 ESP (I think it's the 560 now), but I am pretty sure that it can do all of that w/ the add-ons.

How much did each of yours run, did you have it installed, or did you install it? and what type of features do you have?

I think this would help each of us looking to figure out what we can and can't do.

For the features of the alarm, click that first linkyour not getting the point buddy. I was getting at wether or not the extra features cost more to have installed. and what kind of figures i'd be looking at for the install, as well as for the other people reading

02sonoma thank you.

02sonoma thank you.

What extra features are you talking about? Scott will install the whole alarm for like $50

I could swear this has already been mentioned

my alarm was 300 or so, and 50 for the remote start module, so depending on the alarm you get, you might have to pay a little extra for the emenities... and the install should be the same no matter what they are putting in. (i think)

its just connecting a few more wires for remote start, or remote windows... it will be extra if they have to put the door locks in if you dont have power locks, and the window kit if you dont have power windows.

if you have a car tha is turbo'd it lets you set a certain amount of time to leave the car on after you turn the key off and take out so it gives it time to cool down without having wit wait by it

I get what your say, that pretty cool, but what does "without having wit wait by it" really mean, i'm not sure what you were trying to say there.

whoops ....without having to wait by the car for it to cool down you just turn take the key out on it leaves the car runnin for however long you set it and you can lock your doors and go and it will run and cool down it self

Thanks guys....Like Adam posted....the best price I can find on it is $153 and that was on ebay. I e-mailed them to find out if the system is campatible with my Honda's chipped key for the autostart. Has Urban noise been on the forum lately?? I want to talk to him about the install since it seems that others have used him (and maybe abused him)!

im here :-) ive been busy as hell latley... working mad hours....

i would say autopage alarms... i love my 850lcd... i can do pretty much anything i want to do with it... i can roll my windows up and down... pop open my drivers and pass door (door poppers added) and raise and lower my airbags on my truck with the alarm... Another nice thing about those alarms are they are pretty easy to install from an installers stand point....

I have had clifford alarms before and they are a PAIN IN THE A$$$...I used to have the clifford avantgaurd 4 and i had lots of problems with it...especially the prox sensor...I am soooo much happier with my 850lcd now... It works great and has mad output channels to add on extra features.... if anyone is lookin for installation ...i saw my name mentioned a couple times above... my cell is 478-8188 and urbanno1se on AIM....
