Anyone use an MSD ignition? I am thinking about getting one for both my trucks. I just want to make sure that it is worth the money.

msd 6a is all you need. unless you are running a chip with no rev limiter, then you can go with 6al wich adds adjustable rev limits(via add-on pills).

I used the Crane HI-6S on a 5.7L 'burban and had good results till the ignition module went bad. After I upgraded that it was great. I also heard good comets about Accel's 300 system. It's a good way to boost fuel economy, add performance, and enhance any mods already done. :weld:

I had MSD 7 series ignition on my firebird and it was well worth the money. The 6a or 6al is probably all youll need though.

Just curious, what one would be best for performance on a 4.3L

You would probably never need more than a 6a. If you get to the point that you need a 7, or even an 8 let me know cause I'd like to see it :)
I reccomend coil and good wires if you do get the 6a, as well as the GM harness so you don't have to splice into the stock harness. The coil goes alog nicely with the ignition and the wires will keep all the good stuff in.

I bought my 7 series from Jegs. Im pretty sure you can pick up a 6a or 6al from them for under 150. For the 4.3 a 6al should be all you need.
