Im searching for a little more bump in my truck, but I dont want it to be over the top. I found this 12" sub and thought it would give just what I needed. I dont know much so thats why I need your guys opinions. If any of you guys could think of something else my budget is sub 200 w/o shipping. Thanks
OR I found this one that might be a little more practical.

1. JBL 1200.1 is a great amp for its price, often doing 100-200 watts more than rated.
2. I havent heard that tube ****, but I've talked to somebody that had one. He did not like the SQ. He said it improved when he moved it to a regular sealed box. And in theory, that is a bandpass subbox, but it doesnt look like a very good design to me, just "eye candy" for some un-educated buyer like yourself(no offense). You can find that sub for about $100 online, you can make/buy a box for under $50 easily. Try to stick to manufacture reccomendations on the box.

power HX2, kicker L7 series, RE SE or SX(i dont think they are over 200)
how much power do you have and how much room can you sacrafice for a box? Can you get a custom box made or is it going to be prefabbed? Kinda need to know the circumstances before I recommend a sub, each sub does well in a different environment. What vehicle? What type of music do you listen to? I'm guessing you are looking for good sound quality or do you just want some bump?

Man what are you trying to do bass everybody out of the water. Nice speakers and like Nick those ports will kick out some serious bass and if ever played some dancehall (new style reggae) you will hear the bass
