actually help you do it?...or just tell u how to do it?...ive ran mine many ways before...just to get it together and everything...best bet is to run the power wires the same side of the battery...drill through the firewall and put a rubber grommet in there...get a distribution block...for the HU, run the power/ground through the dash up to the unit itself...its all easy to do...just takes time to get it right...if you need any help, i may be able to help...but u may have to come down here...lol...[no transportation at the moment]

why does he have to run a seperate wire from the battery to the headunit? there should be a constant hot wire in your wiring harness, how do you think the factory cd player gets juice? just follow the wiring diagram that comes with whatever harness you buy and you should be fine.. as for the amp, like he said, drill a nice 5/8" or whatever size hole for the wire your running, put in a rubber grommet and run it through there, then underneath your carpet to wherever you want your amp.. run the RCA cables seperate from the ground and the remote wires however, supposedly that interferes with the signal and somehow can distort your music slightly.. correct me if im wrong

i didnt say HU power...i dont no how many amps hes using...so just use the hole in the firewall for the amp[s] power.........my stock radio never worked, so we had to run a constant power...everything will be fixed right when i get it running again

i just drilled a small hole on the pass side then opened it out till my power wire fit snug then a little more for the grommet then pushed the wire through (unibit makes it so much easier ) as far as the wiring for the head unit just get a harness for it and ur set
also do run the power wire and rcas on opposite sides of the truck and if they have to cross try to do so at a 90 degree angle to reduce the noise u may have
try to make the ground wire no longer than 2.5 feet (i mounted my amp where the stock jumpseat in a ext cab was and used one of the mounting bolts for a ground) and on the power wire try to have the fuse within 18" of the battery (the fuse should be the same size fuse/s on the amp itself i.e if ur amp has 2 40 amp fuses then ur fuse in the power wire should have a 80 amp fuse)
thats about it i think

On the passenger side under the carpet there is already a grommet there for the antanae wire to go thru. I was able to fit 4 gauge wire thru there. Anything bigger and you will have to drill a hole yourself.
